A very pleasant experience- the staff was welcoming and helpful. Dr. Ahir took the time to discuss treatment options and determine what was the best course of action for me. Alice delivered a pain-free teeth cleaning experience and continually checked to see how I was doing. Would highly recommend.

How Can We Help You Smile Near Shady Shores?

Whether you want to get back on track with cleanings and checkups, enhance your smile with cosmetic dentistry, or replace your missing teeth, we’re here to help! Click on the icons below to learn more about the different services that we offer at our practice. If you have any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to give us a call.

I Need a Checkup & CLeaning

It is recommended that most people see their dentist every six months for routine cleanings and checkups near Shady Shores. Even if you are a very diligent brusher and flosser, there are still going to be areas that you miss. A professional cleaning leaves your teeth clean and polished. During your checkups, your dentist will be on the lookout for oral health issues so they can be addressed sooner rather than later. This includes tooth decay, gum disease, oral cancer, and other abnormalities that need to be addressed.

I Want to Enhance My Smile

It is always our goal to keep your smile strong and healthy, but the appearance of your teeth also matters. If you aren’t happy with the current appearance of your teeth, this is a perfectly valid reason to seek dental treatment. We offer various cosmetic dental services, including teeth whitening, veneers, dental bonding, and smile makeovers. Give us a call to schedule your consultation.

I Have a Cavity/Broken Tooth

Despite your best efforts, tooth decay and other dental injuries can come up. We offer various restorative options to help build up and repair your smile, restoring its health. When it comes to cavities, cracks, and broken teeth, the sooner the issue is addressed, the better. By restoring your tooth with a filling or crown now, you might be able to avoid more invasive treatments, like root canal treatment or an extraction.

I Am Interested in Dental Implants

Are you missing one or more of your teeth? We offer a variety of tooth replacement options to restore anywhere from one tooth to an entire arch of missing teeth. To determine which tooth replacement option is right for you, schedule a consultation with us. We will examine your smile, discuss your history, and go over your options. Together, we can create a plan to meet your needs.

I Want to Straighten My Smile

If you have misaligned teeth, they can take a toll on your oral health and your confidence. We offer Invisalign to slowly shift your teeth into their rightful locations. The best part is that the trays are nearly invisible, so it won’t take away from the appearance of your teeth in the meantime. This way, you can achieve a straighter smile discreetly.

I Am Worried About Bleeding Gums

Did you know that nearly half of Americans over the age of 30 have gum disease? When detected early on, it can be reversed with excellent oral hygiene practices and some health from your dentist. From scaling and root planing to antibiotic treatment to pocket irrigation, we can help to restore the health of your gums!

I Am in Pain & Need Help

Dental emergencies can happen as a result of an unresolved dental issue that has worsened over time or out of the blue. If you have a painful toothache, lost restoration, knocked-out tooth, or another issue, we’d be happy to help. We offer same-day appointments for those who are experiencing a dental emergency.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get emergency dental care?

When a dental emergency strikes, acting quickly and with certainty matters most. At Prime Dentistry, we offer same-day emergency appointments near Shady Shores so you can get relief fast.

Unlike hospital ERs, which usually lack the specialized equipment or training to handle oral injuries, our office is prepared to treat toothaches, broken teeth, lost crowns, and more.

However, if you experience severe bleeding that doesn’t stop after 10–15 minutes, or swelling in your throat that affects your breathing, go to the ER right away. For everything else, whether it’s sudden tooth pain, swelling, or trauma, you can count on our team for compassionate care and effective treatment that restores your smile and your comfort.

How do I find a great family dentist near Shady Shores?

Finding a great dental team that’s willing to work with patients of all ages can be challenging. A true family practice combines broad expertise with patience and warmth to make children feel at ease. Early positive dental experiences are important to helping them build lifelong trust in professional dental care.

So, when choosing a family dentist, look for an office with modern technology, flexible services, and a friendly team that takes the time to explain treatments. Our experts at our Denton dental office are committed to creating a welcoming atmosphere where your entire family can receive personalized care.

How much does a dental check-up & cleaning cost near Shady Shores?

Across the U.S., the average cost of a dental checkup and cleaning is 200 to 350 dollars without insurance. Fortunately, dental insurance often covers preventive visits at little to no out-of-pocket cost to you, making regular care easier to maintain.

Preventive appointments help patients and families save money by catching small issues before they get too serious or costly.

At our practice, we accept several popular PPO insurance plans and will always help you maximize your benefits. No insurance? Don’t worry. We can discuss alternative payment options like CareCredit, Alphaeon Credit, Cherry, Proceed Finance, Sunbit, or Lending Point financing to keep your care affordable.

What level of education is required to be a dentist?

Dentists complete extensive training before ever caring for patients. After earning a bachelor’s degree, they attend a four-year dental school program to achieve a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree.

In addition, they must pass rigorous national board exams, state licensing requirements, and maintain ongoing continuing education to stay current with advances in the field. This ensures they are qualified to diagnose, treat, and prevent a wide range of dental conditions safely.

Dr. Ahir earned his first dental degree in India before undergoing a three-year residency focused on endodontics. After coming to the US, he received his doctorate from the New York University College of Dentistry. Today, he has over 20 years of experience, so you know you’re in good hands.
